Tanja is a compassionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist providing assessments and therapeutic interventions for presentations including trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and difficulties adjusting to life changes. Tanja provides psychological interventions across the lifespan ranging from childhood to older adults. Over the last 20 years Tanja has worked as a psychologist in various public mental health settings.

 

Tanja has extensive experience in providing family therapy interventions for individuals and families struggling with life stressors and transitions.  Tanja’s other specialties include providing attachment-based therapeutic interventions to strengthen child-parent relationships, reduce behavioural difficulties in children, and support parents in responding therapeutically during challenging times. Her expertise extends to families facing complex problems such separation/divorce, loss of a parent, and domestic violence. Tanja provides individual, dyadic (parent and child), and family interventions to address these concerns. 

 

By forming a collaborative partnership with her clients and their caregivers, Tanja empowers them to achieve their desired psychological outcomes using and building on their available resources. 

Therapeutic interventions draw upon a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Mentalization-Based Therapy – Family, and Life Review Therapy. Tanja can provide standardised psychological testing to explore a wide range of mental health assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. These include assessments for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (child and adult), depression, anxiety, and screening for autism spectrum disorders.

 

Tanja is a Clinical Psychologist and clients may be eligible for a Medicare Rebate of up to $137.05 per 50-minutes consult (this benefit is accessible for up to ten sessions per calendar year).
